The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has questioned the decision to fine South African batsman Faf du Plessis only 50 per cent of his match fee after the latter admitted to tampering with the ball during the second Test of the two-Test series between South Africa and Pakistan at Dubai.

South Africa won the Second and Final Test at Dubai by an innings and 92 runs on the fourth day’s play. The Proteas had to work hard for their victory as they were defied by a 197-run partnership between Skipper Misbah-ul-Haq and centurion Asad Shafiq.

Pakistan are heading towards a possible innings defeat on the fourth day of the Second and Final Test against South Africa at Dubai. The Proteas are six wickets away from drawing the series while Pakistan still have 286 more to score to avoid an innings defeat.

South Africa have completely demoralized Pakistan by piling up 460 for 4 by stumps on Day 2 in reply to Pakistan’s miserable first innings total of 99 in the Second and Final Test at Dubai.

Pakistan’s joy of winning the first Test at Abu Dhabi was short-lived as they collapsed to 99 all out on the opening day’s play of the Second Test at Dubai.
